The aim of the study programme is to prepare specialists who are able to organise and implement the functions and activities of a public health specialist and to organise and implement non-formal education programmes and activities for children and adults based on evidence-based practice, integrating the foundations of educational science.
Our study programme seek to strengthen your skills and knowledge in the role of a modern public health education specialist, helping you to plan and implement health promotion and education campaigns and programmes, and to form health policy and to set strategic goals by demonstrating leadership and communication skills. The programme is relevant for work in public health sector in order to address global public health challenges.
The main modules in the curriculum include: Health Education Theories and Modelling; Health Policy and Strategic Management; Non-formal Children and Adults Education Modelling, Health and Safety of Risk Groups and Educational Peculiarities, Common Health Problems, First Aid, and Prevention, etc.
Health and well-being promotion is one of the most important areas of science nowadays.The WHO constitution states, that Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Public health promotes and protects the health of people and their communities. Public health sector, along with health care sector serve for the global community in order to address global public health challenges. |
Graduates of the study programme will work in public health offices/bureaus, public health centres, health departments or administration of the county or municipality, health insurance or state patient funds, personal health care institutions, educational institutions, industrial enterprises as public health specialists, public health analysis specialists, health educators, hygienists, health statisticians, in private health care or public health sector, Ministry of Health and its subordinate institutions, and non-governmental organizations engaged in health promotion activities. |
