What is Europe? This degree programme offers an answer to this question by exploring the history of the different regions that comprise the ‘Old Continent’—from the Mediterranean world to the Baltic, from the European ‘West’ to its ‘East’. The three-year degree programme provides a distinctive learning experience by fostering an understanding of the diverse political, social and cultural dynamics within European societies and their interconnections.
You will study a range of different subjects and have the opportunity to experiment with different historical approaches that will deepen your theoretical knowledge and enhance your practical skills in research, dissemination, communication and critical thinking—elements that are crucial for a well-rounded professional today. In addition to the history of European regions, the programme includes subjects such as Heritage Communication, Geopolitics, Climate Change or the Digital Humanities, which are essential for a graduate with a broad-spectrum expertise background.
The learning process will be conducted in small groups, ensuring that every student has a voice and encouraging open discussions between students and lecturers.
