Public health is the comprehensive physical, mental and social well-being of the population. During the study, leadership skills are acquired, the ability to analyze the health status of society or individual groups, assess demographic, morbidity, mortality, quality of life characteristics, risk factors, identify major health problems, develop and evaluate health promotion and disease prevention programs, and organize the activities of health care institutions.
Public health specialists are the frontline leaders who organize measures to protect global society in cases of epidemics and other infectious diseases, conduct research on the impact of the environment on public health, and develop recommendations for a healthy lifestyle. |
Graduates will acquire a Bachelors’ degree in health sciences. Graduates will be able to work in health departments of municipality administration, public health offices and bureaus, public health centers, health promotion and health program units, primary health care institutions, territorial health insurance funds, specialized care institutions for health risk groups of the population (addiction centers, mental health centers, centers for child care and disable people), and as public health specialists in educational institutions. |
