With the end of the year approaching, the project “Connected4Health – A Medical and Humanities-based Approach to Navigating Obesity and Eating Disorders (EDs) in Young People” will soon reach the finish line. The project was implemented for two years by partners from the universities of Lithuania, Romania, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Czech Republic, and Serbia.
Although more than 150 projects are implemented annually at Klaipeda University (KU) alone, "Connected 4 Health" is innovative on an international scale in that it does not look at eating disorders as a purely medical problem, but aims for a comprehensive, inclusive approach. Doctors, health care specialists, psychologists, cultural researchers, communication and language specialists, and other representatives of social sciences and humanities from 7 European countries joined forces in the framework of "Connected 4 Health".
Today, the fruits of two years’ work can be finally freely accessed in 8 languages: a handbook, a syllabus of seminar, and an online training package for master's students and students in clinical years. All project resources and up-to-date information are available HERE.
