The meeting gave a detailed overview of the Lithuanian language courses, which are designed for both beginners and advanced learners. Lithuanian language studies for teachers, who want to improve their knowledge and competences, were discussed. Recent projects aimed at the dissemination and promotion of Lithuanian language and culture abroad were also presented.
The discussion focused on the possibilities to increase the dissemination of the activities of the Center of Lithuanian Studies and Foreign Languages both in Lithuania and abroad. The importance of attracting new participants was emphasized in order to promote the learning of the Lithuanian language and the promotion of culture among Lithuanian communities abroad. Future plans were also discussed, which include strengthening cooperation with Lithuanian communities abroad to promote the learning and promotion of Lithuanian language as well as culture.
This meeting marks a significant step in strengthening cooperation between the communities of Lithuanians in Lithuania and abroad promoting intercultural dialogue as well as the development of Lithuanian language and culture. Dalia Henke, the Chair of LWC, expressed her support and enthusiasm for the Center’s activities and plans stressing that joint efforts are necessary to achieve common goals.
