“I think this season was very good. The team played so many games and lost only once. This season’s champions have been beaten by KU team both times. Next year, I think more young football players will join the team and we will try to take the first place”, - E. Misiūnas appreciated the season.
In the very first match of the LSFL competition, KU team confidently won against Lithuanian Sports University (LSU) 7-2.
KU football players played to a draw in the second, third, and fourth rounds of the LSFL Championship. In the first round, they met football players from Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) and the match ended 1-1. In the second round, they played against Vilnius TECH team and ended the match with a score of 2-2. In the third round, they met KTU football players and finished the match with the score of 3-3.
After three draws in the fifth round, KU team met Vilnius University (VU) football team and triumphed 2-0.
The second round of the Lithuanian Student Football League started less successfully for KU football players than the first one. After the first match against LSU football players, Klaipėda team had to admit the advantage of the opponents with the score of 4-1.
However, in the seventh round against VMU football players, KU team sealed 2-0 victory.
In the second round KU team met Vilnius TECH football players and repeated the scenario of the first round – played out 3-3 draw. However, in the ninth round Klaipėda team left no chances for a draw for Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) team and demonstrated victorious end to the match with the score of 7-1.
After the final match of the second round and the LSFL competition, Klaipėda University athletes once again defeated VU football players with the score of 1-0, thus leveling the score in the standings with VU team.
