Mark your calendars brightly for July 26th, because on that day, starting at 5:30 PM, we will be gathering on J. Janonis Street and preparing to make some noise in the 90th Sea Festival Parade!
This festive year looks back to the origins of the event – 1934, when the powerful tool for promoting maritime culture, the Sea Festival, was born. This year, the festival will feature songs from the past century and themes from those times.
In line with this year's theme, the Klaipėda University community will wear white KU T-shirts with a blue logo and yellow scarves. Scarves and T-shirts (for those who do not have them from previous years) will be distributed on July 25th from 2 PM to 4 PM in the Rectorate Hall. If possible, women are asked to wear retro-style skirts, and men to wear suspenders during the parade.
Parade accessories will be distributed on-site.
The goal is the same as every year – to make as much noise as possible in the parade, and for that, we need as large a crowd as possible! Invite students, colleagues, relatives, and friends to join us and let’s all march through the streets of Klaipėda together!
*Please be aware that photography and filming will take place during the event, so you may be seen in event photos or videos, and these photos or videos may be posted on publicly accessible social networks or media outlets.
